The State Historic Perservation Office is reviewing applications for the newly named Iowa's Rural Heritage Revitalization Grants program. In the fall, the office received $600,000 to redistribute in historic preservation grants, funded by a $4.8 million grant from the National Park Service's Paul Bruhn Historic Revitalization Grants Program. Iowa's local government and nonprofits that own properties of the National Register of Historic Places were eligable to apply. Applications were due on February 1, 2021.
