With curfews and quarantines, campus life was limited for Iowa State women during the First World War and the 1918 Flu Epidemic. Join Illinois College professor Jenny Barker-Devine to learn more about the rules that governed women students and how they rebelled, finding their own voice in a time of upheaval and uncertainty. This online presentation is part of the “Iowa History 101” series offered by the State Historical Society of Iowa to commemorate Iowa’s 175th year of statehood. The event is free, but registration is required.
