Join genealogist Ricki King, owner of Roots to Branches Genealogy, as she presents a journey of Iowa's Black history, starting with Iowa’s statehood, that illustrates some of the reasons why families and individuals moved to Iowa, moved around Iowa, left Iowa, returned to Iowa and then left again. Her online presentation is part of the “Iowa History 101” series, which the State Historical Society of Iowa offers to commemorate Iowa’s 175th year of statehood. The event is free, but registration is required.
