Join Michael Plummer, State Historic Sites manager for the State Historical Society of Iowa, to learn a few stories from the sites as well as a few highlights visitors can discover when they see the sites in person. The state currently owns and operates the following eight sites: Abbie Gardner Sharp Cabin (Arnolds Park), American Gothic House (Eldon), Blood Run National Historic Landmark (Larchwood), Matthew Edel Blacksmith Shop (Haverhill), Montauk Historic Site (Clermont), Plum Grove Historic Home (Iowa City), Toolesboro Mounds (Toolesboro) and the Western Historic Trails Center (Council Bluffs).
