The Council Bluffs Public Library is presenting a four-part hands-on oral history workshop, led by Jade Rogers, professor and local historian. Focusing on personal and/or family histories, participants will learn the essentials of conducting and recording an oral history interview.
Participants may have a loved one in mind whose story they would like to capture, but an interview subject is not necessary to participate in this workshop. Outside of the workshop, opportunities will be available to apply the techniques learned for conducting and recording oral history interviews.
All workshop sessions will be held in Meeting Room B from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Saturdays, May 7, 14, 21, and 28.
