The Iowa Arts Council seeks a highly collaborative, organized and detail-oriented professional who is skilled at project management and motivated to tell the story of arts and culture across Iowa to serve as its next Program and Operations Coordinator.
Day to day, the Program and Operations Coordinator supports the effective operation of all Arts Division-administered grants and programs by assisting with the development of workshops, webinars, training and other resources to effectively serve the needs of artists, arts and cultural leaders and organizations. This position will also assume responsibility for managing one or more arts programs, including the state art collection.
The Program and Operations Coordinator is responsible for carrying out key data management tasks related to tracking, recording and evaluating the ongoing impact of Arts Division grants and programs and ensuring constituents receive timely and accurate information about Arts Division programs. This position also serves as the Arts Division’s boards administrator and plays a key role in ensuring the effective operations and flow of information to boards and committees.
Working with the department’s communications team, the Program and Operations Coordinator also works to share and publicize information about Arts Division programs through print, social and digital media and takes a lead role in developing content and gathering assets for key publications, newsletters and the DCA website.
This is a full-time, permanent position. It is expected that the incumbent will maintain a routine schedule of 40 hours per week and office at the State Historical Building in Des Moines. Some evening and weekend work may be required.
