Arts Grants

    Funding Resources and Solutions

The Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs has opened its fiscal year 2022 round of grants to strengthen the vitality and sustainability of arts and culture, film and media, history and historic preservation efforts across Iowa.

For the upcoming fiscal year, which starts July 1, 2021, some grants have been modified to provide arts and cultural organizations greater stability and flexibility, while also encouraging creative programs, innovative projects and new partnerships tied to strategic initiatives and diversity and inclusion efforts.

In addition, the agency remains committed to the creative economy with grant opportunities for creative entrepreneurs, artists and filmmakers. All of these grants can be catalytic for communities who are looking to renovate a historic district, open new creative businesses and feature their town’s unique characteristics in a potential film project.
