Iowa Arts Forum
The 2019 Iowa Arts Forum brought together arts advocates and colleagues from across Iowa to events in Clarinda and Des Moines. Participants fine tuned their arts advocacy strategy and learned what steps can be taken to ensure the arts are on the agendas of media and policymakers as they set their sights on Iowa for the first-in-the-nation caucuses. Celebrated singer-songwriter and ArtsVote 2020 Chair Ben Folds partnered with Americans for the Arts Action Fund and the Iowa Cultural Coalition to provide tips to elevate the creative economy by advancing arts policy at the local, state and national levels.
