Historical Resource Development Program

    Apply for grant funding to help preserve, conserve, interpret, enhance, and educate the public about Iowa’s historical assets. The Historical Resource Development Program provides funding for documentary collections, historic preservation and museums.

    How to Apply

    The regular Historical Resource Development Program application cycle is closed.

    Applications are being accepted for the Emergency Historical Resource Development Program - funds are limited and awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.

    2. Complete the application.

    Manage Your Grant

    Report Forms

    • For projects awarded in 2016 (FY17) or later, complete the Final Report and Payment Form online.
    • For projects awarded in 2012-2015 (FY13-FY16), complete your claim and final report form via Iowa Grants. Use the instructions provided to help submit your claim.
    • For emergency projects awarded prior to FY16 and regular projects awarded prior to FY13, contact us for a reimbursement form.
