Cultural Capacity Building Grant

Apply for general operating support for your arts, cultural or humanities nonprofit. Cultural Capacity Building Grants provide support over a two-year period to small nonprofit organizations that demonstrate a commitment to enhancing their cultural and managerial excellence and community service.

Funding for the program is made possible by the Iowa Legislature and by the National Endowment for the Arts.

  • Who: Iowa Arts, Cultural or Humanities Nonprofits with annual operating expenses of $10,000 - $150,000
  • What: $5,000 in fiscal years 2023 and 2024, for a total award of $10,000
  • When: May 2, 2022 at 11:59 PM for the funding period of July 1, 2022 - June 30, 2024.
